Direct to consumer paint company, Clare, needed to refresh their email marketing to be as vibrant and varied as the paint they sell. Studio Studio was enlisted to create a vast library of email designs that could be mixed and matched, and be so user friendly to create that any member of the Clare team could create a turnkey email in minutes.

Problems to solve from the design brief:

• The previous email designs were not templatized, so often the team was iterating the look and feel of email on the fly, causing a design burden on the team, and non-standardized looking customer communications.

• The old email styles did not do justice to the beautiful paint that Clare sells, often falling flat of the vibrant and celebratory products they were showcasing.

The solution to Clare’s email design problem was to develop a robust library of every type of hierarchical communication module for marketing emails, thus creating hundreds of different design options for every Clare email communication need. This library included fully customizable working design files, pre-made frequently used customer service modules, and libraries of ready to use images.

The result are weekly emails that can be designed in minutes, consistent visual brand storytelling, and a handy email styleguide to train new employees on the manipulation and execution of designing Clare’s marketing emails.
